
Ekkehard Brysch, CEO
Mr. Brysch studied business and law in Goettingen, Germany. Since 1980 he has headed of his own consulting firm with offices in Germany and the US here he also qualified as certified management consultant (CMC). His professional focus is on strategy, joint ventures, franchising and international corporate alliances. Mr. Brysch is the co-founder and CFO of BioMedion, a company specializing in pharmaceutical IT and consulting services.

Holger Dunker, CFO
Having completed his training in the banking sector, Mr. Dunker studied business administration with a focus on bank and corporate accounting. He spent five years at Deloitte while passing his state tax accountant exam in Germany. At Deloitte he was responsible for the auditing of individual and consolidated corporate financial statements according to HGB (German), US-GAAP and IFRS standards. Thereafter he became CFO and authorized officer at a mid-sized German company in the automotive sector. Mr. Dunker joined Metriopharm as CFO in early 2010.

Renate Schirrow, Director of Clinical Development
Mrs. Schirrow studied mathematics and biomathematics/medical information science at Humboldt University in Berlin. She worked in medical research prior to spending several years at a leading drug development contract research organisations. At PAREXEL Mrs. Schirrow held a global management position in clinical research. She successfully established and managed an international clinical contract research organization. Her comprehensive professional experience in clinical research in Europe, the Americas and Asia including the formation and management of clinical research units, as well as the planning and management of over 500 clinical trials is a great asset to Metriopharm.

Dr. med. Wolfgang Brysch, Chairman of the Board
Dr. Brysch studied computer science in the US and medicine in Goettingen, Germany and Cambridge, UK. He subsequently completed his PhD thesis and conducted research work at the Max-Planck-Institute for Biophysical Chemistry. From 1989 Dr. Brysch headed the laboratory for molecular neurobiology and cancer research at the Max-Planck-Institute. He co-founded two successful research-based biotech companies and a specialized pharma-related IT company. Dr. Brysch co-developed several bio-molecular drug compounds from the research phase to the clinic. He has over 15 years of experience in commercial product development and marketing

Dr. Werner Wolf, Board Member
Dr. Wolf studied chemistry and physics in Graz and Vienna, Austria where he then worked as a researcher in biochemistry and immune biology for four years.
From1974 to1998 Dr. Wolf worked for Boehringer Mannheim (now Roche). He first became Head of R&D for Boehringer’s range of specialty chemicals for biomedical research and then assumed the role of Director. Dr.Wolf was also a member of the advisory board of Boehringer’s Gobal Life Science Fund. From 1998 to 2008 he served as senior technology advisor to one of Germany’s largest Venture Capital Funds, TVM Capital. Since his resignation from TVM Capital Dr. Wolf has worked as a consultant to the European Commission (Bio Finance), the German Ministry of Education and Research, as well as for numerous international institutions and companies.

Markus Wenner, Board Member
Markus Wenner studied law in Germany and the US. He then worked at Clifford Chance, specializing in M&A and Corporate Finance. He subsequently spent one year as investment manager at GSM Industries,. Thereafter he moved on to GCI Management in Munich, Germany where his focus has been on M&A, Corporate Finance and Capital Investment Projects.
